The iconic and symbolic theatrical lily has been transformed into a modern symbol that becomes a distinctive and unique emblem of the theatre. The redesigned logo thus reflects not only its historical roots, but above all the energy and vision of the theatre in a new era — moving toward a modern audience, contemporary productions, and the artistic expression of the 21st century.
The new form of the lily retains its symbolism while gaining a more modern, artistic, and distinctive shape. A more iconic design gives the theatre a clearly recognizable visual style that better communicates its role in the contemporary cultural scene. This transformation not only underscores tradition but also opens the door to new possibilities for the visual identity of the Silesian Theatre in Opava.
The dominant element of the new catalogue is the typographic ‘220th season’ mark set against an illustration of the theatre’s façade. The catalogue reflects a clean and modern approach to both typography and layout. It feels premium, contemporary, and at the same time conservative.
Modern use of typography is key to the theatre’s visual identity. We prioritize clarity and working with text hierarchy and scale. A clear, visually impactful poster layout is designed to accommodate any visual—whether artwork or production photography. We work with a clear separation between the title and the authors.
